ITBP Head Constable (Education & Stress Counsellor) Recruitment 2026 Online Form (16 Posts)
This post is for candidates who want a people-facing role in a uniformed force, rather than a technical or workshop role. An Education & Stress Counsellor supports personnel through education and stress-counselling work. In practice, that means helping personnel with learning, guidance and day-to-day coping, listening to concerns, encouraging healthy routines and study habits, and supporting morale and well-being across units. The work calls for patience, clear communication, discretion and a steady, supportive manner, because personnel may turn to the counsellor during periods of pressure, adjustment or personal difficulty.
It suits candidates with a Psychology, B.Ed or B.T. background who enjoy teaching, mentoring and one-to-one support. A Psychology background helps in understanding behaviour, stress and motivation, while a B.Ed or B.T. background helps in planning learning, explaining ideas clearly and guiding others. Candidates who are comfortable speaking with people, keeping confidences and working as part of a disciplined organisation will find the profile a natural fit.
It differs clearly from the Motor Mechanic post. That role centres on trade and mechanical work, with a trade theory paper and a skill test. This post has no trade theory paper and no skill test.
SC / ST / Female / Ex-Servicemen are exempt from the application fee.
