Manipur Police Recruitment 2026 – Ex-Agniveers (423 Posts)

Manipur Police has opened a special recruitment drive for the state's first batch of Ex-Agniveers, with one clear condition: the 423 posts — 337 Constable (Male/Civil) and 86 Riflemen — are reserved exclusively for Ex-Agniveers of Manipur under the 20% horizontal reservation quota for recruitment year 2026–2027. The notification, dated 17 October 2026, invites applications in the prescribed format by direct recruitment on a regular basis, and applications are not online: candidates must download the form from the official website and submit it in offline mode to DIG (HQ/ADM) Manipur on or before 30 November 2026. A fee of Rs 400, payable online in favour of DIG (HQ/ADM) Manipur, must accompany the application. Eligibility is narrowly defined: only the first batch of Ex-Agniveers from the state, who leave the Armed Forces first. Educational qualification is Class XII (HSSLC) pass for Constable and Class X (HSLC) pass for Riflemen, with knowledge of Hindi as desirable. Age must be 18 to 26 years as on 1 October 2026, with a five-year relaxation beyond the upper age limit for first-batch Ex-Agniveers, and the period of Agniveer service can be deducted from the actual age. Selection runs through three stages — a Physical Efficiency Test of 40 marks, a written test of 40 marks and a viva voce of 20 marks — and candidates must qualify in all four PET events, failing which they are disqualified from the written and viva stages. Appointed candidates serve two years of probation, extendable by one year, on Level-3 pay (ROP 2019).
