Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), Jais — admission to PhD Programmes for the academic session 2026-27 (Even Semester). Eligible candidates can apply online from 16 October 2026 to 26 November 2026 through the official website.

Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, has opened PhD admission for the Even Semester of 2026-27 at its Jais, Bengaluru and Sivasagar campuses. The online application portal opened on 16 October 2026, and candidates must submit their forms by 26 November 2026. A total of 72 Institute Assistantship seats are available, with 35 at Jais, 14 at Bengaluru and 23 at Sivasagar, while industry fellowships from IOCL, HPCL, BPCL and CPCL are also offered. Full-time regular scholars can receive a JRF stipend of Rs 37,000 per month. Eligible applicants include M.Tech or M.E. holders with 60 percent marks, B.Tech or B.E. holders with 75 percent, and M.Sc. holders meeting the discipline-wise requirement of 60 to 65 percent, with MBA, CA, ICWA and CS routes given in the brochure. GATE is not mandatory for all categories. Four registration categories are available: Full-Time Regular, Full-Time External, Full-Time Sponsored and Part-Time.
