Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC), Prayagraj — official syllabus and exam pattern for Vetting Officer 2026. Download the syllabus PDF below.

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has released the syllabus and exam scheme for the Vetting Officer screening examination of the Legislative Department under Advertisement D-6/E-1/2025. The screening examination will be held on 26 October 2026. The paper is divided into two parts. Part I tests General Studies and General Knowledge, while Part II tests the related subject, which is Law. The screening examination is the first stage of the selection process, and candidates who qualify in it move on to the next stage. Because the two parts test very different kinds of preparation, candidates should plan their remaining days accordingly. General Studies needs broad revision across many areas, while the Law part rewards careful reading of concepts and provisions. The official syllabus is the only reliable guide to what will be asked, so candidates should download the official PDF from the UPPSC website and match every topic in it against their notes before the examination. Any topic that is still unprepared should be covered from standard sources, and the final days should be kept for revision rather than new material. Candidates should also keep checking the official UPPSC website for any further notice about the examination.
